If your shop/catalogue has a steady number of products coming on and off (a good example would be if you’re displaying second hand goods for sale), you don’t want to fill up your hosting space with unwanted images. When you delete a product from your shop/catalogue it DOES NOT automatically delete the image that went with it. You need to do this manually.

You could, of course, just leave them all on there, fill up your hosting space and have to give us more money each year for a larger hosting package, but no-one wants that. When you have an obselete image on the server, get rid of it.

1. Click on the Manage Images link in the menu. You will now be presented with a list of the images on the server. It is right about now that you’ll be very glad you gave your photos sensible names. Makes finding them a whole lot easier. Click on a file name and you’ll be presented with a small version to look at.
2. To delete the image, simply click the Delete link over on the right hand side. You will be asked “Are you sure?”, say yes and the image will be removed instantly.
