x-cart ~ change manufacturers

Once you have added your manufacturers, you can log in and change the details at any stage.

change manufacturer

1. Click on the Manufacturers link in the Management section of the navigation
2. Click on the name of the manufacturer you want to make changes to.
3. Fill in / chnage the following details:
   Manufacturers - type in the name of the manufacturer (ie: IBM)
   Logo - if you wish to specify a logo, click the Change Image button to upload your logo (please resize it first and save for web as per the image tutorials)
   Descsription - type a longer description in here. If you want something fancy with images and formatted text, we can do it in HTML for you.
   URL - if you would like to link to the manufacturers website, put it in here (copy and paste it from a web browser and include the http:// at the front). This is optional. If the manufacturer sells direct to the public, I strongly recommend you don't do this.
   Order By - the manufacturers are listed in the order you want them to be in. Enter 1 for the manufacturer you want listed first, 2 for the 2nd one etc. Leave gaps in the numbers just incase you want to slot a new one in later on.
   Availability - leave this ticked. Later on, you have the ability to disable the manufacturer by removing the tick from the box.
4. Click Save to finish.

delete manufacturer

1. To delete a manufacturer, click on the Manufacturers link in the Management section of the navigation
2. Pplace a tick in the box next to the name, click the Delete Selected button. A warning box will pop. Click OK to finish the process.
