x-cart ~ add subscribers to your mailing list
Even though people can join through the website, you can also join people up manually. Remember, unles people opt in, you could be in violation of Anti-Spam laws and face fines of up to $1,000,000 (and no, i didn't put 3 extra zero's on by accident!)
- Under the Administration section of your stores admin, click on Marketing Manager Add Ons
- Click on the Newsletter Tools (or if it's not an option - choose Extra Tools) icon located near the top right of the screen. A new window will now pop up. If you have those annoying pop-up blockers on, turn them off.
- Click on Newsletter Subscriber Control.
- At the You are working on this newslist, choose the mailing list you're adding subscribers to from the drop down box and wait for the page to reload.
- Scroll down to the Batch Add/Batch Remove section.
- Check the radio button next to Add emails (it's probably already selected)
- Copy & paste the email addresses in the box provided (one email per line - no stray characters)
- Click the Batch Add/Remove Emails button
- When asked Are you sure, click OK
