x-cart ~ adding volume product or membership price discounts

Ater you have created your products, it's possible to list different pricing options. For example, if you offer a 10% discount when 5 or more are purchased, this can be set up in the shop & automatically calculated during the checkout process.

Similarly, if you have membership options, you can offer cheaper prices to your members. Once members are logged in, they see these prices. Those who are not logged in or not members will see the regular pricing.

setting up your pricing options

1. Add your product as normal (see tutorial)
2. Click on the Wholesale Prices link
3. Under the Add New Price heading there are three different options you can enter, Quantity, Price & Membership.
4. Quantity - if your pricing discount is a volume discount (buy 3 or more get 10% off), type in the number of items that the discount applies to (ie: 3). If your pricing discount has nothing to do with volume, type in the number 1.
5. Price - type in the new unit price here (ie: If you are offering 10% off and the original item was $100, you would type in 90 here)
6. Membership - if your pricing discount is for a certain membership group, use the drop down box to select the name of the group. If the discount will apply to anyone who shops in your store, leave it set at ALL.
7. Click SAVE
