x-cart ~ related products
Sometimes when you list a product in your store, you will want to list other products that go with it. This can be done in the related products section.
- Click on the Search for products link and find the product you want to add the related product to.
- Click on the Upselling links option at the top of the page
- In the Upselling links box, under the Add New Link heading, click the Browse button to find the product you want to link to.
- You'll now get a pop up window. In this pop up window you have your shops categories listed on the left. Click on the category name then click the Show Products button. A list of all products in that category will now appear on the right.
- Click on the name of the product on the right hand side then click the Select button. The pop up window now disappears.
- If you want the link to be a reciprocal one (ie: you're creating Product A to have Product B as a related product and you'd automatically like Product B to have Product A as a related product), click the Bidirectional Link box.
- Click the Add/Update button.
- To change the order in which the related products appear - Once you have added more than one related product, each item will have a number in the POS column. Change the numbers to order your related products accordingly.
- To delete a related product - Click the check box to the left of the name of the product/ you wish to delete, then click the Delete Selected button
